Liberal arts education prepares students not only to make a living but also to make a life. Our purpose is to prepare students for the many choices that make up the human experience. Communication, critical thinking, creative problem-solving, self-expression, innovative research, and lifelong learning are central to having a great career and a well-lived life.

Career and Technical Education programs give our students academic and real-world skills, plus the knowledge and training they’ll need to succeed after graduation. We introduce them to business, early childhood education, child development, culinary arts, web development, and computer programming competencies in a real-world context.

Theater / Drama

Rockwell has a dynamic state and nationally ranked award winning drama program that emphasizes both the craft of acting and technical production skills. With experienced professionals directing, students can gain invaluable insights and hands-on experience.

Personalized Education

Personalized education at Rockwell means that we tailor the what, when, where, and how of learning to meet each student’s strengths, skills, needs, and interests. Students learn at different paces, but our teachers keep them on track to meet and exceed milestones on the way to a diploma. It’s the opposite of the “one-size-fits-all” approach.

When I switched to Rockwell I wasn’t on track to graduate, I was a whole year behind and needed to work hard to catch up! I had to do summer school and projects to get my credits up! My counselor came up with a project for me, I had to do a biography on my grandpa and I thought it was so cool and to learn about him and everything he did cause I really didn’t know him cause he died when I was way young! To this day I am still very thankful for Rockwell and every person who helped me graduate!

Our key focus is preparing young people to achieve success in postsecondary education and in a labor market that rewards skills and knowledge. To be effective, education must be coordinated and comprehensive.
