Kat Mitchell

Executive Director

Kat Mitchell has been a successful teacher and leader in public education for over 16 years during which she has served in various roles at the Weilenmann School of Discovery in Park City, including Principal. Assistant Principal, Literacy Director, Licensing Specialist, and classroom teacher. Ms. Mitchell has most recently served as the Community Schools Coordinator for Granite School District.

Kat Mitchell brings more than 10 years of experience as a classroom teacher and 6 years of executive leadership to her new role at Rockwell Charter School. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Business Administration degree, along with an active Professional Teaching License from the Utah State Board of Education. Kat supports a distributed leadership model and results-driven approach to leadership decisions in an effort to collaborate with stakeholders, build capacity in teachers and staff, and improve student outcomes. Kat was most drawn to Rockwell because of its mission to provide personalized learning and to empower students toward successful high school graduation, careers, and college.
